Corporate Profile

Background and History

BUSINESSwebsite.com Limited (previously White Horse Information Technology Limited) was incorporated in 1993 for the purpose of developing computer software applications and to explore opportunities created by the emerging internet technology. The Company started trading in June 1997 having developed a comprehensive internet website application specifically targeted at providing property professionals with an interactive presence on the World Wide Web. This application has proven popular with over 500 agents now using this product.

Subsequent to this, the Company has developed a wide range of interactive e-commerce applications suitable for most sectors of business and commerce, and has broadened its client base spread into many new markets.

Each site is hosted on the Company’s web servers and all support is carried out in house. The product name for this application is ‘PROPERTYwebsite’.

Business Strategy

The Company’s strategy is primarily focused on carving out a significant market share of small and medium sized companies using our PROPERTYwebsite and BUSINESSwebsite products and services to provide them with an interactive presence on the World Wide Web.

This philosophy has been successfully achieved to date by delivering a low cost solution for its customers. BUSINESSwebsite e-commerce products have been developed so that they are easily tailored for an individual customer. The process of developing a website is productionised with each discipline being undertaken by appropriately skilled staff. This enables the number of man-hours taken to develop an attractive and functional e-commerce interactive website is minimized. Comprehensive training is provided with any necessary software and hardware installed at the client’s premises.

All customers’ websites are hosted on the BUSINESSwebsite servers with comprehensive support and help desk providing a turnkey, trouble-free solution for the Company’s clients.

By establishing a strong presence in each market sector, the Company’s philosophy is to use the benefits of networking which the internet provides to strengthen the commercial success of electronic commerce for its customers. An example of this is where data on property details is exchanged with property portals and repositories, to broaden the exposure for estate agents and the properties the agents are seeking to sell. Another example is where take-away restaurants in a given town can be networked through promoting the TAKEAwebsite brand so that internet users wishing to order take-away food do not have to remember often complicated names of foreign restaurants.

There are currently only two means of finding a website on the internet. You either know the domain name address or you use a link displayed on another website, email or internet search engine. As more and more companies have a website presence on the internet, sifting through huge numbers of search engine results can be arduous. By creating a strong BUSINESSwebsite brand and developing a strong market share for different sectors of business and commerce, the BUSINESSwebsite repository of clients becomes the natural place to search for products and services. The BUSINESSwebsite repositories are being developed with comprehensive search functionality aiding internet users to find what they need.

The success of the internet for BUSINESSwebsite clients is proving significant. On average, estate agent clients receive over two thousand unique visits per month. Take-away restaurant clients have found orders over the internet fully justify their investment.

BUSINESSwebsite servers currently serve over 4.5million website pages representing over 1.5 million unique visits to client websites per month, providing potential for considerable additional revenue streams from advertising and providing business to business links.
